Prep students' hanging birds

Foundation students have explored how shapes and lines can be used to create monsters, I'm sure you will agree they are both terrifying and cute.
Our Level 1 and 2 students have been combining line, shape and pattern to create familiar images. Their understanding of how to use pattern to add detail is shown to great effect.

Students in Levels 3 and 4 explored bug X-rays and studied the shapes and patterns found in nature. It's exciting to see the use of detailed pattern in their work. The Level 5 and 6 students took the bug X-rays one step further and were challenged to look for another image. The results show our students have extremely creative minds and their black and white contrast work is outstanding.

Foundation students have been demonstrating their shape knowledge and learning about primary colours and their importance.

Junior and Middle school students have been exploring the art work of Picasso in particular the portraits he painted. Junior school have focused on creating portraits in primary colours that demonstrate their ability to use line and shape to create faces in Picasso's style.

Middle school students took this understanding a step further and mixed complementary colours to create a sense of mood and emotion in their portraits.

Senior school have been working creating works inspired by the Mambo exhibition.
They are responding to the sense of humour and iconic images found in the Mambo images.
