Message from our Principal

I am incredibly proud to be appointed the Principal of Chelsea Heights Primary School.

I have very close connections to the area, as my Grandparents lived in First Avenue Chelsea Heights, meaning many of my family members attended Chelsea Heights PS and I grew up in Bonbeach not far away.

I still live locally, and I love to live and work in our community. I have taught and been an educational leader across primary and secondary level and love working with our teachers and young people to help them be the best they can be. I also have four teenage children myself that attend local public schools I am passionate about ensuring our schools provide the best possible learning environment for all students.

Chelsea Heights Primary School High Standards, High Expectations approach is about nurturing the whole child to thrive in a happy, safe and inclusive environment. Our partnership with families is highly valued as we know connected communities get the best academic and wellbeing outcomes for their children.

We centre our relationships and environment around our three core values of Respect, Cooperation and Responsibility.

We understand the importance of early literacy and numeracy skills providing the foundations for all learning as well as contributing to self-esteem and take an evidence informed approach to ensure all students are given the best possible opportunity to grasp vital knowledge and skills in these areas.

Our knowledge rich curriculum and access to Music and the Arts ensure students are exposed to all learning domains to not only understand the complex world around them, but begin to discover their passions and interests that can be further explored in secondary schooling.

Our PE and sports programs ensure a connection to fit and healthy living and our Respectful Relationships programs teach important social and emotional wellbeing and how to regulate our selves using the language of the zones of regulation setting our children up for future success at school and life.

Our recent $4.5million major buildings and grounds upgrade includes 10 new classrooms and the development of an extensive nature play area.

I welcome the opportunity to share our story and facilities via our tours – dates can be found on CompassTix.
If you would like to organise a tour, please feel free to CLICK HERE TO BOOK or alternatively contact the office, I look forward to working with the wonderful Chelsea Heights Community.
