Welcome to 2025
After such an amazing 2024 year we are looking forward to building on our continued success.
Chelsea Heights Primary School works to ensure our vision of High Standards, High Expectations approach nurtures students to thrive in a happy, safe and inclusive environment. Our partnership with families is highly valued as we know connected communities get the best academic and wellbeing outcomes for their children.
We centre our relationships and environment around our three core values of Respect, Cooperation and Responsibility.
We understand the importance of early literacy and numeracy skills providing the foundations for all learning as well as contributing to self-esteem and take an evidence informed approach to ensure all students are given the best possible opportunity to grasp vital knowledge and skills in these areas. We are have been delighted at the early impact of these approaches, seeing our students achieving high results we haven’t seen before and more importantly the confidence and passion to read, write and engage in mathematics as a result of mastering the basics.
Our knowledge rich curriculum and access to the Arts and ICT ensure students are exposed to all learning domains to not only understand the complex world around them, but begin to discover their passions and interests that can be further explored in secondary schooling.
Our PE and Sports programs ensure a connection to fit and healthy living and our Respectful Relationships and Friendology programs teach important social and emotional wellbeing and how to regulate our selves using the language of the zones of regulation setting our children up for future success at school and life. Our running club has gone from strength to strength with over 50 participants running with teachers and volunteers on Friday mornings.
Over the past few years we have invested heavily in teacher training and development along with a new Computer Lab and Library, kindly resourced by our PFA, as well as upgrading teacher technology and airconditioning in the classrooms to ensure the best learning environment possible for your children.
The success of our curriculum and teaching learning program has seen the launch of our extension learning programs, particularly in Mathematics and English, and we look forward to progressing these programs further as more students become interested in extending and broadening their knowledge and experience in these areas.
