Chelsea Heights Primary School stays abreast of cognitive science and educational psychology to ensure all practice aligns to the best evidence available.

At Chelsea Heights Primary School our school-wide instructional approach is systematic and explicit teaching to ensure all students have the ability to master increasingly complex knowledge and apply it to different situations as they move through the school.

All lessons follow the 'I do, we do, you do' lesson structure, which moves from explicit instruction through to independent practice and all teachers have consistent engagement norms and checking for understanding techniques to ensure consistency in practice from class to class.
