Jane Satchwell was two weeks into her first principalship when a distraught parent entered her office in tears.

“She was saying she didn’t want to pick up her child because there was a man and a woman who were [other] parents from the school and she said they were threatening to beat her up. She said ‘what do I do?’"

Sarah Duggan, Journalist, recently interviewed Jane Satchwell and her story was published in the September 2019 edition of Australian Teacher Magazine and online on Education HQ.
